4. Write a poem of your own on the theme of the poem. Your
poem should express the difference between the way you viewed the world as a
child and your perspective as a young adult.
.
When I was young
I thought the whole world belonged to me.
That nothing can stand between me and my
dreams.
It was all black and white
Everything was so clear and bright.
As I grew older
I began to understand
On my own flesh and blood
That if I want to fulfill my dreams
I'll have to go into the dirt and mud
It wasn’t black and white anymore
It was grey, and blue and red- though
I miss these days when I was young
When it was just black and white
And the whole world belonged to me.
That's a great poem, Odem, so typical of how we see the world as children and teenagers.
השבמחקI liked the way you said you would miss those days of black and white... Aren't you still there??
